Bowdoin’s Rael Discusses 14th Amendment (Maine Public Radio)

One hundred and fifty years ago next month, the 14th Amendment was enacted. It may not be the best known chapter of America’s constitutional history, but it is cited in more litigation than any other amendment.

Professor of History Patrick Rael shared his thoughts on the 14th Amendment as a guest on MPBN Radio’s call-in program Maine Calling May 17, 2016.

Rael is author of Eighty-Eight Years: The Long Death of Slavery in the United States, 1777-1865
