John Fitzgerald, Bowdoin’s William D. Shipman Professor of Economics, joined a discussion on Maine Public Radio’s Maine Calling to speak about the growing problem of income inequality, its causes, and possible solutions.

Fitzgerald, along with Robyn Merrill of Maine Equal Justice Partners, spoke with Chuck Collins, author of Born on Third Base: A One Percenter Makes the Case for Tackling Inequality, Bringing Wealth Home and Committing for the Common Good. Listen to the discussion.
